best thing would be a developer yourself when making a server.

Hiring developers doesn't have to be a loss, if you just hire 1 guy and let's say he charges $5-$10 each addon & you have a good STARTUP economy for the server that you know that you will surpass by getting donations.
It's a risky move however.

What im trying right now tho (which probably wont workout) is hosting it on my old pc which isn't bad and I would use Remote Desktop to set everything up. I'm just going to mess around and see where I could go with it tho. Also I did have someone a while back made me a addon that would get you XP when you finish the map or something which everyone loved but sadly I don't have it anyore

Basically find someone who wants to work as a developer purely for the position that knows glua (those exist lmao. kinda rare tho)
Or just do the smart thing and start learning glua. It's really not that difficult to learn.

I see, best thing however when you want the server to officially launch is to host it on a vps, otherwise you won't get anywhere if the server isn't 24/7

Which will also cost you some money.
But that is kinda a given.
You wont get very far with a locally hosted server.

I'll probably end up doing that and use NFOServers VPS just no need spending money for it to sit there in development.

Yeah, hosting it locally while you're creating it is the best idea.

Basically what I do.
And you can always start smaller and upgrade your VPS as the server grows in size.

Deathrun as there are too many DarkRP servers to start now.

I would go with darkrp it has much more available playtime
