If they want to be part of the community they will make the attempt. Why not make X amount of post unlock the ability to show up in activity. This will sort out the leechers from the community posters.

You way overestimate a new visitors interest level, you start throwing requirements at people for basic shit (like being visible in this case) and they're going to go find somewhere not shit. It's an activity sidebar, nothing should be excluded from it really haha.

This is a fact. I almost just left nbb because of the 15 post limit for leaks alone. You gotta get people to be invesred in your website. It won't just come out of anywhere

I've suggested removing limits on posts but that idea was too far fetched.

If I see a forum filled with leechers and default avatars left and right, it ain't a good look. I made a joke that the leechers are doing a better job making lounge topics but the responses are utter doodoo.

Wouldn't that be more of an argument for better moderation and the community as you say currently not doing much? Or is that where you now tell us they stop you from clicking the reply or new thread button? Are you all being overwhelmed by a couple of leechers posting more than you? Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwshit.

The point of me replying is to make it clear to you that number 3, effectively stone walling a whole user group, sucks. I didn't intend nor desire a debate on leechers on a forum of which adopts a niche where leechers focus (duh).

Well, duh! I admit it's like a stonewall, but with a door way. If you really want to be a part of the community, put the effort nimba.

For some reason I couldn't reply directly.

I'd say it's more like a cat flap, have you changed the suggestion now or is effort now defined as paying for an upgrade? I believe your initial suggestion was to remove non-upgraded members from the recent activity sidebar.
A post count limit is the same kind of bad, it limits moderators visibility of leechers in-progress which contradicts the anti-leeching movement you encourage. Nevertheless the limit would have to be set pretty high for leechers to not show there considering they hit 15 shitposts in no time. So what, we'd expect newcomers to post 100 times or some shit?

People aren't automatically interested in actively being part of a community, they join and see what's going on. If they decide to make a thread or join a conversation and they find out they aren't valued enough yet to be shown in recent activity, results of which could likely result in their thread/post from not being seen at all, how is that not shit? Some brutal segregation right there.

I think the final point to be made and I do hope Aoki concludes something similar, is that the recent activity sidebar is not a feature and so it should show all recent activity from every member regardless of their usergroup or post count.

Regarding your other suggestions, meh.

Point 1
I somewhat agree with this idea that a reduction in overall required post limit would be good. A reduction to 20-25 characters might be a good idea. We could even have it in the sense that based on certain requirements it's reduced. I.E. A new member has a post character limit of 50 but once they have 50/100 posts it's reduced. Sometime people don't have a massive amount to say and need to go above and beyond to make a reply.

Point 2
I kinda see the point to this that it would make users have to engage more than usual but the problem we have is they already need to do this anyways due to having to collect more credits in order to unlock content. Members already have a download limit as it is. Have a look at it here.

Point 3
Call me crazy but I like this idea but not in the sense recommended, what if we added a 5th tab here. In this tab it'll only show threads/replies from members with more than 100 posts or something? Also alternatively what if we had an additional options here, that simply disabled posts showing up unless they have an avatar?

Pulseeey that's my response Smile
Please read the award requirements here before applying for them.

Honestly, it's gonna be hard cleaning up nulled since this site is all full of leeches who just post random shit to get addons, methods, programs, etc

But the lowering the limit is a great idea but probably would cause more spam in my opinion but maybe appeal to legitimate people

Boohoo I don't feel valued upon signing up :disgusting:

From the start if someone were interested in the forum community wise, they will contribute to reach a milestone. That milestone could be leaking good shit, providing decent posts and threads, upgrading, making giveaways, making suggestions, helping others, etc. Those type of people didn't care about feeling valued upon signup. They chased those milestonesto gain value.

You truly overestimate a newcomers first interests. Not very good to force that obligation onto them, they decide what level of enthusiasm or activity they put in. Nothing but being banned should result in your activity being disabled in the recent activity list.

Aoki has told me he shares my opinion on number 3, so we can go ahead and strike that off.
