I don't think so, there are still a lot of people in hypixel, in cubelag....

For me after a map change in Mineplex everything has gone down hill

Nope, I don't think Minecraft has died. I just think that the first generation to play it, the majority anyway, moved on from the game. Younger generations are still playing it.

Singleplayer is dead, but mutliplayer still lives, look at hypixel has almost 30k players on daily basis. Anyone remember when mineplex was the sh*t?

It has not died out yet it has just started to get more and more competitive over the years so people have stopped playing because of the factor of it being competitive

Nope, it is not dead at all, they are still making tons of money and have 3.1 million logins every day

It seems to me that Minecraft continues to live as new mods, plug-ins and textures are created and also Minecraft has a large onlain (Hypixel have online ~ 20000 player at the moment).

Its never been more alive...

I haven't heard from Minecraft etc in a while, however when I take a look at the websites, servers, youtubers etc, while they have surely reduced in numbers they certainly still look very well alive.
