Hey guys, now, I know games are meant for fun to most players, however to the owners of game servers, they're simply money making machines..

I was wondering what game(s) you thought were the best for income, example;

Garry's Mod
You can use ad services and get paid

Minecraft:
You can get players to purchase addons

Also, what's the pros and cons?

Garry's Mod:
LUA is annoying, buy putting ads is easy

Minecraft: Plugin Development is easy but getting players is hard

CSGO 1V1 servers if you use the right plugins are extremely active and with a few donations granting special perks here and there would make it extremely profitable

It's really profitable, for example russian servers' owner can earn from one server about 30,000 rubles ($482) only from donate, there lot of donaters, who wanna be the best on server, so make money on russian schoolboys are easy, but I think it's not normal do server only for donate

GMod shouldn't be hard considering every server is a c+p duplicate of each other

I would use gmod... you can get people to buy vip and stuff like that. I would do like a monthly plan or something like that.

Garry's Mod can earn you money if you run the server correctly. You can't just run Dark RP with a tonne of workshop mods. You really need something different with custom plugins and mods to draw people in. There are way too many of the same thing out there. I had a few (alongside CSS servers) and I was making profit after paying for the servers. I ran the largest Gmod community in AUS

I currently own a gmod server bought it yesterday and its cheap (6) a month and if you set VIP to like 10 BAM easy profit

I could see Team Fortress 2 / CSGO 1v1 servers making a bunch, always filled with ads / donator ranks from my experience.
Also usually the most populated servers.

Might be worth checking out!

You can always start your youtube channel, lots of viewers out there wanting to play and be watched..
dont go for twitch nor mixer, it has to be youtube..
Just try, open a channel and start to make lives playing minecraft..
soon you'll start gettings viewers and they will want to play in ur sever
then.. well, its up to you

Having too much gameservers is not the best idea i think, try to do research and then do it agaihn

What makes you think that's bad?
Wouldn't the more Gameservers you have = higher potentional profits?
Also if you get good mods / admins you don't really have to care that much about your servers!
