Have you ever done a server in GMOD?

If so, how difficult was it for you?

If you know lua programmer language, its was not difficult for you.

I'm actually making a server currently. It's a Murder Server, and I'm still working on it. I don't expect much to come out of it, but I hope it becomes ground for my friends and I to mess around and stuff, y'know.

Yeah, its honestly not hard. I built my first server when I was 12 years old. The trick is to not be afraid to google your issue or ask for help. You can not learn by yourself

It isn't too bad, but if you are just beginning there is a learning curve. Lua knowledge is a necessity if you want to make any custom content, and many servers won't go anywhere if they simply blend in. Stomping out exploits and individuality is a key. Don't be afraid to google things or possibly ask for help

Im developing one right now, my first ever server. Its super hard at first but it gets easier, you run into so many problems but just stick through it. For me it was a trial and error process. If you are definetely get a hoster, can point you to one thats cheap and has good uptime.

Unfortunately Gmod is dying out, only in Germany it is currently becoming more popular again.

I am in the process of programming and mapping a custom role-play server, yes, I did make a role-play game mode from scratch.
It can get difficult and tiring if you are doing it all by your self, so maybe find a developer to make or help you make a server if you can't by yourself.

I always liked to create servers in any games. But the most difficult thing is to create them in gmod, but it's fun when you study and learn something new, it is interesting to overcome difficulties.
