How did you get into anime?

First got into anime in like, elementary to middle school. Naruto was on late at night on Cartoon Network one evening, so I watched it. I had to beg my parents for a bedtime extension to 10 PM. Ended up quitting watching because I didn't want to wait for the season or whatever. Should probably rewatch it.

Anyway, a friend got me into deathnote but I was being bullied so I made some comment about it, scared the school, stopped watching anime out of embarassment over saying I'd put some a-hole's name in my deathnote if I had one. The school thought I had a death list... which, well, meh.

Anyway, fast forward, see attack on titan listed in my Netflix. In college now. I'd seen ads for it around, thought it sounded uber stupid, figured I'd watch it. Watched the first episode. Found it kind of meh, but something intrigued me so I kept watching, got hooked and got back into anime hardcore.

Now I've got to catch up on all this stuff.

Currently watching Reincarnated as a slime, waiting on BNHA, AoT, and I'm thinking about Gun Gale Online, saw like the first episode and it's kinda meh, but we'll see.

Honestly it all started from Naruto, I was obsessed with it and started branching out from there.

I started watching anime on toonamie.

Then it just slowly took off from there when i was little.

Well the first time I watch anime around 9 y.o,i used to watch doraemon and gundam back then. Because of those anime, i started to like anime things. I subscribed to anime magazine and delivered every month, just to see every new released anime to be watched. Well for now, the magazine is dead, and i tend to see what's hot in youtube, cause i don't know any magazine that up to date enough to give me news about new good released anime.

i found some hentai and then started watching anime

started with saber raider as a kid and found much more... first @ tv then on the inet

watched naruto as a kid then started watching others after that

first when i was a kid watching dragon ball z then fully watching naruto got me into it as a kid

Like most people have posted, definitely dragon ball got me into it. Hunter X hunter is really good.

I got into anime back when Toonami was good. Showing all the shows like Black Lagoon and the early parts of Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece. The show that really got my attention was The Big O, a mech anime.
However, I didn't start actively watching anime until 2012 after watching Highschool of the Dead.
