How do you start conversations

I usually start with a complement. I work in retail so when talking to people or customers, I usually say I like your hair/color or ask if they need anything. However, if you don't work in retail then usually a compliment will do just fine.

I have a friend who has a technique that is rather known, he counts up to 3 and he starts (do not think too much) but otherwise it is more used to attend girls. You should try it.

It is important to always ask questions. Whenever you feel the conversation dry out, as a question.

I think starting with a compliment is a great way to get it going, but if you compliment in the middle, I find that it is better for reinforcing a relationship, as it seems more genuine.

There's already some solid tips written here but I agree that questions and compliments are great conversation starters.

Try to talk about something they are interested/passionate about, let them do the talk while you listen and just keep the conversation going.

i think the best way is to be funny just say something funny and make the person laugh

You can start a conversation by finding something you have in common with the person you want to talk with , then you introduce that topic to them and then keep on talking from there.

Idk tbh, ive tried this myself but it didnt help. Try to find more friends and act more in conversations.
