usually just simple Hi ! or Hello ! thats the most simple but effective starts Smile

Just say: "Hi, I'm [name], nice to meet you". And then: "I think I've seen you before..." or "Do you know if...".

I usually look at someones clothing and comment on it if it is something I know of. Like if it's a band t-shirt or a video game shirt. I would just comment on their shirt saying "Hey nice shirt" and then go on from there.

Some good advice would be to just find common ground with the person you're interested in starting a conversation with, this of course being something that can be utilized as a good foundation for a conversation. It takes time, but you'll find it's actually pretty easy to do and a lot of people tend to be pretty down to Earth once you get to talk to them. Smile

depends on who you speak too. Is it a girl and you want to start flirting, id probably start with something random and maybe a compliment. And a random stranger, everything goes. "Shitty weather we're having."
