It's just a running gag from the developers now, i don't think that hes real

No because it is steve with white eyes and he isn't scary that much

well story started when community got intrested in it, it was in the game for a patch then notch removed it, guess because people were afraid of it.. usually people play mc to calm down a glowing eyed guy is not calming lol

That supposed Herobrine AI is to smart to be hidden in minecraft code, would be visibile at decompile it has a lot of functions, running, teleporting, timer, breaking, placing and so on
This "Herobrine" is just a story for kids...

Probably, maybe, maybe not. Legends say he does, my eyes disagree
