Is it Profitable to run a GMOD Server?

It really depends on the game mode, the staff, and your playerbase.

You never know. Garry's Mod is a very confusing complex game with ups and downs worse than your mom's mood swings. But If you have a quality server, with quality content and quality players you will probably make money.

BUT, You also need a GOOD host. If I were you I would suggest using ELHostingServices.

Fun little short story, Once apon a time, there was a "community owner" named Chris, he owned a server that got 80+ people on the reg. People requested stuff to help the community, his reply was "The server is not a community, its a business" The server died about a month later the end.

I'm currently Mod on this DarkRP server called CovertRP and there are people that have donated over hundreds idk why tho.

It always hard to be a game server owner and make profit. Its time consuming and takes alot of patience, but if you do that and make the server fun and enjoyable and make the players stay, then you got a shot.

If you mean donation, it depends of the counts at your users. Make good dicounts. For having a community, yes it is.

Depends on how you make it mate, If you make it P2W probably none will play. If you make it so it's fair but yet quiet abit of an Advantage to Purchase In-Game Stuff people might pay for ranks etc. if they feel like it ofcourse.

Yes, I used to know an owner who made thousands of dollars on his server! But you have to manage the server well
