Is this game really dead?

In France the game is less play but there is still a lot of player on badblock or funcraft still remains more than 2000players peak

No i personally dont think so... atleast for now... Yeah the game is being memed to absolute sh!t but eh its ok i guess...

I think the game is dying pretty fast. It sucks a lot.

It's not f***ed up at all, for example the new 1.13 update will make more realistic water mechanics, there are still many youtuber rising the popularity of Minecraft, almost every kid, teen and adult know the game. New kids come, old kids leave...
