I use a modified version of Conquest that does not replace mobs or items. I love how the blocks look but anything else takes away from the feeling of Minecraft (requires OptiFine for proper usage).

Make a faction server, with the old pvp etc. If you want hmu I got some good plugins and suggestions on how to make ur server. And I have a spawn ready :D

I would take the Comic Texture Pack. But I can't remeber the Name "SphaxBD" or something like that. It looks cool ^^

Try some 3D resourcepack like Default 3D :| , it good but have some lag . You can find some resourcepack on google , youtube and edit this to create your own resourcepack :|
