Go to China - cheap electricity, and the best miners are built there. Everywhere else is a waste of time.

It depends on what exactly you are planning to mine.
Like everything in life, you want to do a lot of research. I'd recommend watching all the youtube you can and try to find communities and even subreddits that are specific to your coin and scale of your operations.
It is 2019, you want to be sure whatever you are mining is still profitable. With the price of power and equipment, it may not be.

I'll give you an example, I used to mine burst and these two videos really helped me out.

Building the machine:

Running the miner:

I also found a lot info on /r/Burstcoin

Good luck in your mining endeavors I hope you find what you are looking to do. :sip:

agreed dogecoin is pretty decent for a start with a small miner

Isn't China cracking down on mining corporations now? But yeah you will only end up loosing money if your electricity isn't dirt cheap and you have a lot of money to invest in hardware to begin with.

Mining is getting increasingly difficult now, unless you have a small factory that you are planning on filling it's not worth it in my opinion. I would recommend learning to invest / trade instead. You'll have a much quicker ROI.
