Lord of the Rings or Star Wars?

I've always liked Star Wars better. I was introduced to it first, and I had more friends that were into it. I respect Tolkien and the world he created. I feel more like Middle Earth is more set in stone and less room to make up your own fan characters and stories in the world

They cannot be compared with each other but if you ask me i would prefer LOTR i mean, i love both but at least lotr has a direct history, it is long but at least it knows where it is going and there are no new canons out of nowhere as with Star Wars.

the original trilogy wins over lotr but none of the recent crap they put out or the prequels

My vote is for Starwars because its one of the best scifi genres ever created! LOTR is good in its own tho!

Lord Of the Rings is a good series, but if you want lore & lots of it, it is star wars all the way

Lord of the rings. It has better story actor and the fiction is so damn nice. Star wars is just an addictive action science fiction

i would have said star wars but the new ones have just ruined it
mainly solo and the last jedi had way to many flaws and was clear on pushing other ideas that destroyed the movie

Star Wars is so much more than people give it credit for. The success of Star Wars is not just the spectacle. It's because it attempts to be THE story. It's like every underlying theme or feeling of every myth, every fairy tale, every religion ever is woven into the fabric of the story.

Lord of the rings for sure. I love the concept and world building of star wars but not all the movies hold up, honestly grateful for the movies due to the fun games that came of them.

But lord of the rings as movies, story telling, acting, mildly dark vibes etc just made it so much more of a favourite series

Surely I prefer Lord of the rings, an icon of the world cinema
