Has anyone got any tips for Hammer/Sledge for a person making their first map? I know there are a few YouTube tutorials but is there anything that isn't obvious which might help?

Thanks Smile

I'd also like to know as well, since I'm doing it a bit from scratch and I'm trying to make a very nice map myself too.

learn how to make everything
- doors ladders respawnable windows etc
then make more complex maps, dont make a huge project for ur first map
it will be bad and ull want to scrap it as u learn that everything u made
could be done better and more efficiently

Try and keep off of the square design most maps look like. Try and if you can go for quality over quantity,

You can create displacement in material section and can configure that for yourself, like make big radius, distance

Did you purposely cut off your sentence after distance? Or am I just reading it wrong?
