The answer is complicated, mainly because there are many factors that determine whether Minecraft will continue to be popular. I believe that as long as the devs keep providing players with better and better updates, the game will be fine. In addition, we also have a thriving community of modders who definitely help the game stay popular, considering the fact that a lot of Minecrafters (including me) love to play mods.

i think it will last long beyond everyones expectations. you cant beat its simplicity and creative aspect.

Feels like it'd last for a long time as people who grew up with it are still playing and kids are learning about the game as well. Like the minecraft stans are pretty large so it shows there's still an interest in minecraft.
