Minecraft will live past 2020?

Yes, it'll still have players. If people are still playing COD4 then minecraft players would still be playing. Plus there a lot of mods on Minecraft if people ever get bored of vanilla.

It will, even with all of these new games coming out minecraft will still be a playable game for everyone

obviously it will last until 2020. the game has lasted for a decade now and still continues to get updated.

it will definitely live on and on for a bit but I doubt "Hytale" will affect them at all.

With minecraft becoming mainstream, it doesn't seem like it'll lose players anytime soon. We may see a dip in players in the future though, but it'll live on past 2020.

yes and probably even much more. New updates are keeping old players and gaining new ones.

Right now it has been played by more people than tetris, so I think that it will survive for sure.

We are just living the earliest days of computer gaming. Imaging how a 200-year old Minecraft server will look like!

I think minecraft will probably still have players by 2030 even. Even if it dies down a lot at some point, people could still have continuing reasons to play it. I don't like a lot of their updates in recent years but I still wanna go back and play it sometimes, despite not liking the updates the game itself is still fun enough to keep going back to. I imagine a lot of people playing feel the same way, or that they do like all the updates and the game becoming more complicated. And of course, servers and mods are neverending in their possibilities and the friendships and communities you can make on the game are just, different from any other kind of game. It doesn't seem like a game that will die any time soon, not by a long shot.
