What do you achieve by rooting your phone? I don't understand it.

I rooted mine because the code can interact with your phone on a deeper level and get rid of the OEM guff.

Could just put it to Stock Android though.

Hey NBB

So last night I ended up rooting my phone (HTC One X). It was the first time I rooted a phone so I flopped tremendously LOL. I had to get help from my brother ha-ha

Turns out though, my luck wasn't all good, I lost my Netflix account! :( LOL so yeah

Anyway, how have you all been? I haven't been active due to GCSEs, and I don't think I'll be active either, but let's see.

Wow sounds good, can you tell step by step about rooting Tongue

I'm still a knob- I mean noob, so I can't really, but I have a decent idea of what to do.

It must have been old HTC. Newer models you can unlock, S-OFF and root in 10 minutes.

First time I rooted my Google Nexus 6 it just sat there doing boot-loops, thought I'd bricked it.

Luckily I hadn't and the restore was pretty easy. Good job I didn't break a 500 phone.

It's actually pretty difficult to brick a phone, unless you're a 100% dense tard.
