Should 4chan be shut down?

I do think if it weren't there things would be slightly better off. Though, there will always be those people and you can't really stop that. Just like this site or any other with public discussion or threads like 4chan. It just happens to be 4chan because they are open about it.

No, but it might be better to at least have the government monitor the site for any activity that actually involves real dangers like terrorist threats.

No. Freedom of speech and all that. Also a lot of good has come out of that website, people just like to focus on the bad and the drama.

No it's the users doing things, not the website.

You can't shut down a bar because people are doing drugs in the restroom.

Not shut down the whole site but should have the power to prevent posts from getting out of hand.

Honestly, I am all for freedom of speech but I feel like 4chan is like over the top. Many suicides, shootings, etc. have bred from that place and it was one of the causing factors of tragic events. I believe it should be shut down or at the very least moderated.
