Right?? They're giant isopods (Wikipedia) ...all you can do is stay well away from the oceans and pray to god that they never manage to make the transition onto land...

It was found in August 2017 during afield trip to Mount Qingcheng in Chengdu.Its wingspan is 11.5cm




Its an eleven inch mosquito that still has living relatives still flying around in China. Thankfully, its only a mosquito in technical terms, as it feeds on nectar rather than blood.

I have to be fair though if one landed on me I would freak the f**k out
