Hello, for me the anime that breaks the heart is naruto, the moment he meets his mother and father, an amazing time spent on this anime

Clannad simply because i was at a serious low point in my life and once i googled sad anime that was the first one i picked, i have watched every episode. I would say give it a shot and watch the whole thing including the ending song every episode.

This anime came back to me: Saishuu Heiki Kanojo (Saikano). Really touching. Anime of the distant 2002.

many, since im a big drama anime fan, but some that really got me sad as fuck for many different reasons were

5 centimeters per second - just leaves you in a sad void, really good show

Golden Time - hard to watch cuz of dealing with loss of memory

Knights of Sidonia - not exactly the most emotional anime, but the moments of emotion are extremely well done, and pair well with the 3D animatiton

I've never really had any because I avoid watching the anime that can provoke this kind of emotion, maybe Naruto otherwise?

Steins;gate and Akame ga kill.

The ending of akame ga kill triggered me a lot tho. Not going to spoil incase someone wants to watch it.
