This might seem cliche, but Naruto has some pretty sad moments, where Naruto is just trying to belong / be himself, and I find myself tearing up.

Shigatsuwa kimi no uso (Your lie in April), screw that anime. It totally got me hooked in and then took a large dump on my expectations for the ending.

Your Lie in April wrecked me so bad. I had to get up and stop watching Death Parade, but the intro made it worth it.
