I second A Silent Voice, but if you're okay with manga Goodnight Pun Pun is perfect.

Broke my heart as in made me sad? The first one was probably the original Fullmetal Alchemist or Spirited Away, but there are plenty of anime that make me cry coming out all the time (looking at you, To Your Eternity)

One that I can't forget and changed the way I look at things? AnoHana, probably the first one that made me stop and look at the world and people around me.

this both made me cry like a fountain, manga version too. both anime have one thing in common, if you have watched them you probably know what i'm talking about.
