The new minecraft is bad

i think its fine. i still use 1.8.9 and i got mc in 2014

I think the update was a nice addition, it made sense as the oceans were just huge pits before

Yea, 1.7 and 1.8 will also be the "Normal" for me. 1.9 and above just feels like I have to learn to play the game all over again.

Honestly I cannot stand new minecraft at all. I need to be play the older BETAs like B.1.6.4 because that's when the game was enjoyable. Minecraft is a sandbox game but they turned it into something else to be honest...

The updates are so spaced in the timeline of Minecraft it's necessary to make some major improvements in the game, otherwise, it will just be bland. Aaaand the community won't be able to talk about the updates and there would be no hype, I'll remind you that hype is also making the community alive.

Ever since they added the combat update, minecraft has felt cluky and bloated. I generaly aim for 1.7.10 whenever I load up the game.

The stuff they added might add more features/variety to the game but I think they may be losing touch with elements that originally attracted many fans to MC. Gone are the times when the most complicated thing you had to do was warp to the end to take on the game's "final boss", even then you were pretty much left to your own devices. TL:DR, imho less was more with the Minecraft I grew up with.
