I've tried reading manga and I just can't get into it but today I've decided to give it a go again. Do you guys have any recommendations for newcomers? Please nothing too complicated, I'd like to start slow.

We have a manga recommendations here.
https://nulledbb.com/thread-Manga-Recommendations

What manga you exactly looking for? Any genre?
Try Black Clover. Just don't watch the Anime. Read the manga cause its way more decent.
If you like Romance, try Horimiya and Kaguya Wants to be Confessed To: The Geniuses' War of Love and Brains.

Considering you are new, i believe you will like cliche and over used concept like Isekai (Over powered main character born/reincarnated in different world) Manga.
-Kenja no Mago
-Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken.

That's people for you. Trusting one another, helping one another----- it's all a fantasy. Humans are creatures that will always betray.
Yokoya Norihiko (Liar Game)

I'll definitely check that thread out, I'm thinking of beginning with Black Clover since the anime sucks IMO. You know a good site to read manga on?

Really depends on what you like. What I usually do is if I watch a anime I enjoyed a lot I'd read the manga since most of the time it has more detail to the story. Like now I'm reading Akame ga Kill!, Black Clover, Bungou Stray Dogs, Douluo Dalu, Hajime no Ippo, Nanatsu no Taizai.

You can use MangaRipper to rip series and use ComicRack to read them.
