Was harry potter a good series?

The book wasn't as entertaining as the movie for me. Overall, its one of those great fantasy movies i've watched.

I actually read the books as they came out; Then, of course, watched the movies when those started to release too. I've always loved the series, but I thought the books did a better job of portraying the story.

Although I much more preferred the style of the first few films which had much more adventure feeling to them
