there are many, the choice is really wide, I would recommend an editor easy to understand, with a sliding screen ..

Sublime Text, it's a really nice Text Editor, and really great for web development

This really depends on what I'm working on. For small projects, without a proper backend, I tend to use Visual Studios Code or Atom (Sometimes WebStorm if there is a lot of JS present). When there is backend in play it also depends, for PHP its usually PHPStorm or Adobe Dreamviewer and for ASP it's either Rider or Visual Studio.

i use phpstorm student version. Its great really. And its massive support php 7.2 and npm & webpack
