What OS is better for gaming?

Absolutely windows for gamer..
mac and linux for work how dare you still ask this question? lol

windows is the best OS, it has problems but nobody is perfect

Windows for sure, more games and mods and plugins, all the difficult stuff are in windows, you'll basicly find everything

windows most defiently is the best system for gaming hands down

Which OS is better for gaming? If you were asking about which WIndows OS is better for gaming. Then it would be Windows 7, as Windows 7 has better game support then all other Windows releases.
But, if you are asking what OS as in Linux or Windows. Then it would have to come down to Windows because it has better gaming support.

But, if you want to look at the Computer Gaming industry. Then it comes down to this.
1. being able to have their games proprietary and closed sourced. You can't do this in Linux as the Linux community requires complete open-source.
2. Being able to create a game for on Version of one OS and have it work in future versions of that OS.
3. The OS having the graphics and audio support required for the game released at that time.

I see that Linux has the potential to have great games. But, it lacks most gaming support. And gaming support that it does have is mostly through Wine to allow Windows games to run. Then there is the issue of hundreds of Linux distros out there. And because of that the gaming industry considers Linux a support nightmare.

Lightweight Linux is always better but since there are not alot of games for it i dont think it will be succsessful gaming platform so like others i use Windows 10

there are not many games for linux
most of games work with windows
but I don't know about it for online games because I don't play online

We won't talk about MacOS. Linux is not as widely supported as of Windows and therefore, Windows wins automatically.

I would any day go with Windows.
Mac OS isn't good at the moment but I believe after the upgrade on imac and the 16 inches laptop, theres gonna be a massive shift towards gaming on mac.
