Sometimes when you buy stuff the seller has to worry that you're going to fraud them or do a chargeback, when you offer to pay with BTC they know their money is safe so they tend to deal with you much faster, take you more seriously, and you can usually get a discount. With wallets like coinbase and circle adding and moving money from paypal, bank account, and credit/debit cards is very fast and easy for you as the buyer.

#36 Late response here, but bitcoin is an online transformation basically. Things are changing. More people are starting to use BTC and more companies are moving to accept BTC. Overall, it's a good change to make, which I'm about to hop on board with. It gets risky to invest in it sometimes though.
