Bigger userbase, cheaper games... the list is long actually.

Also it's a struggle being logged in or using to multiple services

It's not that they are bad. It's just that Steam's catalog is much larger. Steam also has user created in game creations the the workshop and item trading in it's ui. It has a lot more to offer on terms of customization as well.

Origin and Uplay and well Blizzard do what they can with what they have, and it's not a bad thing.

But Origin and Uplayjust look unpleasant.
And with the whole EA fiasco, Origin has lost popularity.

Steam has more games as other platforms.
btw Origin make game gifts. I have Need4Speed, Battlefield and other games as free fullversion from origin.

The reason is that Steam came first and does things well; other services are deemed copy cats. I think Origin is fine, but uPlay seems like a cheap effort.

UPlay and Origin's companies have sketchy business practices and will do anything to get your money. They use subscription services and steam does not. it's as simple as steam treats their customers as customers that want to purchase content and Uplay and Origin treat customers as future money bags.

Steam is just what everyone went to.
I have asked alot of people this and people tend to tell me that their friends went to steam, so they did.
Steam Support is literally the worse I've ever seen from ANY company I've ever had to deal with.
I have worked YEARS in the customer services industry and Steam is by far a joke when it comes to Support, don't get me started on Games.
Valve themselves have no care for their players and they don't intend to take their users seriously, with such little support and updates for games like CSGO and releasing a DOTA card game, its obvious they dont care anymore.
Origin on the other hand, every time i dealt with them was an easy thing to do and a pleasure.
But here I am.... 500+ games on steam.

Well I think it is because steam has way more games like if uplay and orgyen stopped only selling there products they probably wont have more people following it.
