Why do people dislike minecraft

I do not know it myself. because Maybe they are squares

i think because >70% Minecraft players are <16 years old

Not only is it a "trend" to hate it on minecraft, but because it's dead. Obviously it's still a hugely populated game, but nowhere near as it was previously. From what I've heard, a new game called Hytale is going to knock Minecraft down from it's throne.

Maybe because it is no longer mainstream and it gets boring for those people who are not dedicated to it.

I think it's probably mostly because of the fanbase, aka small children. At the school that I went to there were 5,6,7+ year old wearing creeper t-shirts. I don't think that it's so much the game, but the people who play it.

Yeah it has a bad image because of all the children that tend to play it. Interesting you said in your original post it's "child like" well not really at all its a sandbox? There isn't anything that makes it childish more so than terraria or other games that are not looked at as childish. I will say the skins are kinda childish though maybe thats the only thing.
