Why is DarkRP Popular?

the sandbox aspect of it i guess along with being able to do stupid shit

I guess people love doing crazy stuff. I am an avid small server hunter on DarkRP. Purely because most people who play the small servers want to create very funny situations. Most servers are full of Theives and they're just a nightmare. In short, if you can find a good server with people who want to have fun, make funny situations and not just make it a robbery and a constant crime scene. It is very appealing.

Short examples of situations I have found myself in:

Me: A Meth cook. Based with a terrorist and a weed grower. Had the police come around the building three times before getting a warrent. Terrorist shouts "This is for running over innocent badgers!" and proceeds to blow the police up

Me: A Bus Driver. Ended up becoming a mobile rave for drug addicts and illegal immigrants. Ended up making tonnes of money from driving around blasting EDM until the police busted me for noise complaints and harbouring fugitives.

Me: A Truck Driver. Ended up helping 5 meth cooks move a bunch of equipment from a house to an industrial building. One kept singing lady gaga very drunkenly and another decided to distract the police by throwing rotten meat at them claiming "I am giving your dead brothers and sisters back to you piggies!"

They may not seem funny as they are presented but I assure you I was in tears with laughter sometimes. But I can see why its not for everyone

Just amazing

Sadly most of the servers are very clustered with paid content or unnecessary jobs, it's no longer a passion project that someone developed, most of the addons are just bought off the market.

super fun and easy to get into when you dont take it seriously

i feel like darkrp is basically people playing GTA on garry's mod for thoses that play "seriously" and the others part of the community is basically casuals that come to troll and get banned

its just nice, you can interact with other people in a specific way

It's super because you can allways speak with people, play in alls jobs it's big
