Why is darkrp so popular?

I believe it's because the DarkRP is one of the main gamemode of Gmod, and it's the first who purpose a roleplay script.

It's popular because you can have really fun interactions and make friends with people in game

DarkRP is fun because its basic, anyone can jump into it and have fun sometimes no matter what they're playing as. There are guns, a grind for cars, and its just that random gamemode which you can find little kids and screw with em.

It's just a mod for people to run around, act stupid, and talk shit to others.
It's just a huge cesspool.

It's a good concept , shooting raiding, having fun and it's always excitiiiiing

Because on this mode you can feel yourself in the shoes of any profession, do what you want, make money and much more.

its probrably because its so unique and new so it appeals new players its also very fun if you got a lot of people and its also a grind for money

idk, but I love the fact that the popular ones are never the good ones, most of the time they barely use any scripts or addons, they arent even creative anymore
