battle royale games taking over?

I didn't like PUBG as much as I like Fortnite. PUBG was mainly reaction time and being able to judge the bullet drops. Fortnite is that plus you have to be able to build insanely fast. Like Maulish said, if you can't build you won't get far.
Also optimization, cross-play, etc. I haven't had this much fun in a while, I can play with more friends now that I can play with people on console as well.

Previously it was a battle for players between H1Z1 and PUBG for players (I personally preferred H1Z1 since it was faster pace) and in my opinion, Fortnite capitalized on the pros of both of those games and improved them to make a fun, fast-paced game.

I agree how they are taking over, everyone keeps on talking about it's getting a bit boring lol

BR is a little time mode, on one-two years... i hope zombies come back

I've got to agree with that one because other battle royales don't give options to build like the developers over at fortnite. The team over Epic Games were being really unique incorporating the building aspect into fortnite. That's what makes it different from other battle royales like PUBG and H1Z1. That is really what separates it from the other battle royals.

it all started with minecraft hunger games. then people carried those ideas over to other games such as ARK, dayZ, and h1z1. but yes battle royale is taking over

Think about it, BR will live for a long time even after the big games die, its ultimate bragging rights, over 99 other players. Its competitive, but its also fun, you can fuck around in it.
Honestly BR is an OLD thought - hell even MC servers "Hunger Games" is just a smaller scale BR, and those were the thing back when MC was popular.
