Wordpress is the way to go , free and easy

Wordpress + Slider Revolution, used to make a living on that.
Slider costs 50$, but you can use a crackd version (may cause problems tho as it's not updated and probably contains backdoors, also no preset icluded as in the non cracked version).

i literally just put plain html files on github pages lol

I usually just wing it and start from scratch, write all the codes myself, but depends on what you want.

I've created a lot of websites in the past years.

I always use WordPress to start and use Elementor to create the design and build everything. Depending on what the client expects, I implement more plugins to achieve different asked functions.

You can use Wix, or Wordpress, for you easy project. I advise wix.com, because wordpress maybe is very vulnerable after few time..

I think just looking up YouTube tutorials on how to do itwould be the best option.

Wordpress and Webflow are your best best if you don't want to hand-code from scratch.
