Dog can be a great reponsibility,better think about it

Well, I guess what kind of dog do you want and keep in mind of how expensive it is to have a pet. You need to get them fixed, get their shots, feed them and take care of them. They become part of your family when you take in a pet, most people forget that and get bored of them once they get out of the puppy stage.

It depends on where you live and what you can afford. Dogs are a big responsibility.

It all comes down to three things 1. how responsible you are, 2. how much compassion you will actually show this dog, and 3. Money it costs a lot of money to take care of a dog!

Depends where you live and a bunch of other things people already listed here, going with a cat might be a lot less trouble then a dog but that's just what i think after owning like 6 dogs and over 23 cats (i had a few cats that had a lot of kittens) over the course of my life.

Best of luck if you get a dog, its a lot to take care of if you live in a city.

I agree with what angelic said, you need to spend time and money on them. You also carry the responsibility of keeping them alive.

Dogs are awesome trust me. They are loyal and always happy when they see you.
