from my information mining bitcoin or other stuff is only good if you have like thousands of pc AKA a botnet. with tons of slaves to make even make just a decent amount of money.
so should i even bother mining on just 1 pc which is my pc.. it seems like a waste of time and makes my pc simply overheat/expire faster

It's become harder to profit from crypto mining. You're not going to make much, if anything if you're using just 1 pc.

Definitely not worth mining with one PC, especially if it's not built to mine with the right components. You should buy some Ethereum. They're going to move to proof of stake instead of proof of work (mining) which means you can pool together with others and make money (ETH) just by owning some Ether. Quite the interesting concept ~

You can buy an Antminer E3 (Batch 1) and mine ETH.
Normally, you can make it profitable in less than a year.

Alternative to Botnet : make a website with a script to mine. (Coin Hive)

if you are thinking of mining BTC on PC then forget about it you'll never make profit from it. However you can mine Altcoins and then exchange them for BTC.

Yes, you should start. the opportunity is big. The market cap for cryptocurrency is low vs the stock market with 10 trillion. The growth of cryptocurrency hasn't even started

I think you will have mnore success mining Zcash or any equihash algo. I bought a few bitmain antminers so I'm hoping a 20K SOL Farm will generate some decent money :D
