Users are able to upgrade +1 / -1 if they decide to join a usergroup.

Well, with this in place theres no need to let nonupgraded members to be able to rep.

As I said though bubble "But not everyone can get in to groups or not interested in the groups niche so what about the users, seems almost biased to say non upgraded group members can rep but not non group members"

this would be a good idea but you have to figure out what minimum we would put on them exactly
allowing any regular user to join and give rep increases risk for abuse. imagine a multi of a previously banned account negging everyone for revenge.
this neg would stay regardless of whether they're banned or not.
i think a good minimum is 150~200 posts AND 10~20 rep, but at that point users are already upgraded or members don't bother putting in the effort for meeting that goal

what about sysmo he has 200 posts and is still around, I like your idea on the limitations though

Imho the 6 groups we have are plenty diverse, with topics raging from gaming, anime, (((drunk wolfgirls))), leaks and writing.

Btw members should join a group only if it really interests them, not to just be able to -1 rep people they don't like.

There's 6 groups! damn, I'm missing two userbars SmileI know what your saying but people just plain and simply might not want the responsibility of joining a group

If they can't handle the responsibility of joining a group, imagine their responsibility with repping.

you make a good point but Circada is part of a group, so he already has that function.
the harsh reality is that some users join just for leaks. they don't stick around too long to be able to use the rep feature anyway.
why should we allow them to rep and risk the deterioration of the website as a collective? why should other users' rep suffer because some normal user decided to abuse rep?
yeah

I can see someone with 15 posts being a bit of a knob yes but noobs like that are probably not even aware of how to give re and are so focused on getting there posts, credits and getting the fuck out of here, besides, mods can actually remove negative rep if it was given unfairly, honestly though I really cannot see it be a huge problem I just think that it is unfair that a user is forced to join a group or upgrade to be able to give rep and I personally do not endorse it. (just saying)

Most non-upgraded users consist of leechers. However, I've seen hq non-upgraded members. I've had non-upgraded members apply to groups I led and even accepted some. New members are a blank state. We don't know their intentions or personality at all. Applying for a group tells you a lot about a member. Repping should be privilege as it is a powerful way to be toxic.

I understand completely what you mean about blank state that's why I agree there should be limitations in place but everyone deserves to be treated equally right??

If you're an employer you don't give the job to everyone.

You give everyone equal opportunity to get the job, but only those who show the most dedication, best redeeming qualities, and is self driven (or whaterver the employer looks for) will get the job.
