Yeah I share the same opinion with ya when you die you just go to where you were before you were born, briefly you just vanish into darkness/nothingness.

This question is probably what makes so many people fear death--because there's almost no rock-solid proof of what happens after death. Obviously various religions can offer various solutions, but many religions have corrected themselves over the many years that they have existed, saying that they had misinterpreted certain things, etc.--so who is to say even their interpretations of what happens after death are wrong, even if their religion is based off of something correct?

Quite a complex and mysterious issue for sure.

i lost the other guys thread but it brought up a genuine point. what do you guys think happens after death?

personally i think that, well, being dead is equal to not being conscious, and being conscious also gives you the sense of time, so not being conscious = no sense of time

so when people say that it would be "eternal darkness/nothingness" it wouldnt feel eternal, due to not having a sense of time, it would be like dreamless sleeping, but instant, yknow?
not a big believer of religion but i lean more toward the Indian thought of reincarnation, if you where a bad person in the previous life, you will be a fly, or maggot, then move on from there.

Everyone keeps living their lives while you're getting eaten by worms and bacteria, that's what happens after death.
