First of all make sure that your PHP version for wordpress website is php7+. It is very fast than php 5. Secondly install WP Rocket Plugin. It is paid but you will get cracked versions around. Lastly; use imagify plugin to compress your image files.

I used these three steps and my wordpress site now opens around 3 to 4 seconds while previously it used to open around 12 seconds. Remember a time interval beyond 3 seconds also contributes to greater numbers of bounce rates as well.

You can use https://gtmetrix.com and https://tools.pingdom.com/ to analyze your website. it is better to use CDN too. make sure that your PHP version is php7+ and your CMS is up to date.

try to decrease the number of plugins/app you have on your site.

It does bring a lot of features but each app or plugin can easily add half a second of loading time
