well good question i use both Apache and Nginx i have 2 Web Servers with Cpanel so far no problems here Ngnix I for Video Chat etc... and video Streaming well that my say in this topic

Some time ago without a doubt I would have chosen apache, today, trying nginx I deduce that it is faster and safer and in continuous evolution, therefore ... nginx.

i always use apache. With sucurity is best. But if you have setupped a good server and you have a good firewall /security system, probably you can choose nginx, is a bit faster than apache!!

I've used Apache for most of my programming life. I think it's the best choice.

I'll always put Nginx above Apache because I just know how to use it.

Instread of either why not use LiteSpeed? 9x Faster than apache

Apache is more familiar to me but, I think nginx is probably the better option once you get the hang of it

I recommend using nginx + php-fpm on Ubuntu server.
