Autotune yes, no or little?

To the point where it compliments the tune maybe, but not when it's overdone

if down well yes, but if not no no no and no.

Auto-tuning is not the best option, at least due to the fact that all settings are by default and not under the artist

Depends on the artist and the song to be honest. A little autotune is fine to fix up any mistakes, and if you're going for that Travis Scott vibes it'll be fine to but it has to suit the artist really well. Other than that no, but it really depends.

Whether you use Autotune or not doesn't matter anymore. If you like the way it sounds then use it, fuck what other people think. Also, I feel like autotune is the new wave and you'll be hearing it on more stuff as a vocal fx.

autotune if used appropriately enhances vocals drastically

autotune can either hurt or support an artist. it is up to their decision wether they want to add it or not. im some artists case, the autotune helps their voice better match the beat making the song sound better. although with others they want a more raw sounding song, so they choose not to. autotune doesnt make a song sound bad or good, it just depends where the autotune is applied
