Best CPU for gaming?

i got a r7 1700 but tbh nearly all games arent optimized for more then 4 cores thats the sad truth the 6,8,12 and 16 core optimization are coming in the future like 2019/20

go with ryzen, it's cheaper than i7 for the price. and i used amd for a long time

intel core i5 7700k the beest for gaming you whould try it 3.9ghz

I love Intel too and im never not buy AMD... but AMD seems to be making something decent now....

I like sticking with Intel. My next CPU will probably be something like the i7 7700k

i7-8700k is the best processor to play but first you need to scalp it and replace thermal paste to liquid metal for better overclocking.

Amd has never been up to the gaming standard set by intel so given the choice for a gaming rig I'll always pick an intel processor, but for a workstation like my rendering pc Amd handles heavy processing much better. If only amd learned to optimize their cpus to better handling gaming processor work.

I guess Intel is still slightly ahead in gaming, so you should consider buying an Intel cpu (at least 8th gen)

Generally are Intel CPUs better for gaming, but not every time ofc.. Actually i have top i5 (do not remember specific name coz im now on mac) but it wors well with my GTX1080i. Every game on 60fps 4k . And CPU is running max to 70% . Today games using GPU more than CPU. So I safe some money on CPU and invest into hell GPU power. It works for me well.

i7-8700k is so fucking amazing. It won't disappoint you
