I'm thinking of using PhpStorm by JetBrains (https://www.jetbrains.com/phpstorm/)

just wondering if anyone else has any IDEs they'd recommend for php?

I use PhpStorm and I absolutely love it. I used to use Sublime text but using the jetbrains ecosystem (I use pycharm too) just takes the cake for me.

I'm using GNU Emacs (with a framework named Doom) and it is really good and customizable. The best _operating system_ I have ever seen :D

PhpStorm and Visual Code for sure, depending on your project. Visual Code is good when you want to edit something fast so you don't need to wait to phpstorm boot etc.

I used Zend Studio a long time ago, and I think it's pretty good. You can try it.

I personally use PHPStorm and I love it. Unfortunately it's paid, so my student license only last until Sept 2021. I'm crying already looking for another one.
I got my eye on Visual Code, but isn't the same, even with the extensions.
But, what framework do you use?
I code with CodeIgniter 3 and CodeIgniter 4.
