Could hacking a server get you banned on steam?

Maybe if you are doing more than hacking like if you are d dossing and sharing ip that could get you more than a ban you could get sued or they can tell the fbi by getting ur ip and then thats when you are really fucked.

I know people who did a lot of hacking and they never got banned. I've also hacked some but never gotten banned from steam... Only the server.

Recently, a lot of anticheats are being bypassed. And addons like the drug addon on the workshop, or so ive heard, has backdoors that can make users super admins in an instant

Some people have been saying 3D/2D Textscreens is suspicious but nothing bad that ive known of has come up of it. A way to detect a possible backdoor is in the files itself. A common thing is just cluttered hard to understand gibberish in the code that requires steps to decode it and find out what it actually says

well, it is theoretically possible proof to ban, through the support or through a complaint. and if he is the server going to hurt and sue

The only ban I can see he getting is just from your server since Valve doesn't really care about that.

Not that i know of I dont think that can happen with steam I have hacked many servers and nothing happened

Stay away from hacking no point it's a sandbox game have fun. If you're cheating on a sandbox uninstall it's not for you.

Yeah GMOD isn't as extensive or detailed as most games so you can't really appeal to 'GMOD' so to speak when it comes to things like this. Your server is your responsibility.
