Did pewdiepie really saved Minecraft?

I don't even think so, but it helped a lot the community,

He brought nostalgia back that was about it though

Minecraft before pewdiepie was played by many people, do not grind nonsense.

PEWDIEPIE made a lot of people come back to it, and save minecraft

I believe he did as he bought alot of people back to it as it was cool again!

for a moment he saved minecraft but then the hype got away... hytale will kill this game

Well i believe it is far more complex than just pewds uploading minecraft videos. Basically quite a lot of things had a role in the revive of minecraft. In short here they are:

1. The launch of Hytale by Hypixel Server in Minecraft
2. Minecraft Earth
3. Minecraft Dungeons (A very small part though)

Because of this, pewds played minecraft which he ironically criticized before, and that made a huge impact on the number of players.

minecraft was starting to regain it's popularity in about march of last year maybe? idk if it was pewdiepie completely but he sure contributed
