I personally have found my self reading more manga since I don't have much time and I do find it more fun than anime. Unless it's action anime which in mangas become confusing

wondering if anyone else started out that way too? or maybe you started reading manga first.

Do share !

went from watching anime to reading manga and eventually getting into novels and sci fi books.
seems rare for someone to start with manga first though, it's easier to pick up anime definitely. Both are definitely great time spenders.

I'm more the different kind of person. I was starting reading manga before but then later on I was lazy reading something. So then I started watching anime.

Started reading one piece mange when i was like 9. then moved onto death note. Found out they were animated like spirited away and started watching them, but never enjoyed the shows as much as the books.

I started watching anime and started reading manga, for one because I caught to One Piece and I wanted to read the manga to see what was happening in Wano and I can' t wait 50+ episodes for the the main important part of the arc to start. I also wanted to read manga because I had a friend who was telling me about all this great manga he was reading and it sounded interesting and I started reading Promised Neverland before it had an animation, it was the first one I read and it was really interesting. But I can agree action genres are hard to read sometimes I have to reread a few panels sometimes to make sure I know what's happening.
