I think it is not risky. Covid isnt a reason you shouldnt buy anything from China. Sadly you'll need to wait until they cand send it to you

Kinda , but for the most part shouldn't be a problem. I would recommend going for a non chinese provider

Covid is not an issue on shipped package because the virus doesn't survive more than 72hr in best case scenario
Privacy is not a issue because privacynowadays doesn't exist if you are connected to the internet and use any kind of social network
Battery explosion not an issue...I mean even apple and samsung had their bunch of exploded phones...choose your poison

Yes because china is watching all chinese phones. So don't buy a chinese phone...

I dont think xiaomi is a bad choice right now, the have really good phone cost-quality, and they don't had involved in any big privacity issue since i know, i have one xiaomi and was really good

As far as we know it's only the Xiaomi browser that is sending user data back to China.
So if you used a private browser or even just google chrome you should be fine.

I owned 3 xiaomi phones and never really cared enough about what I was using them for to be worried about privacy.

I bought a S8+ from a chinese ebay seller some monthes ago and it went well ... the phone is working
