People keep arguing about the right choice. The 2 main editors are Premiere Pro and Final Cut, I prefer the Adobe products.

Sony Vegas is great if you're just starting out. But check out Davinci Resolve. Not only is it free but its gaining tons of support.

So I have been wondering this a lot lately only because I am new to the video editing world, but what is your choice in video editing software? I am currently using Camtasia, but I have used Corel. Camtasia seemed to offer me a little bit more of what I was looking for then Corel. I have also heard that some people like Sony Vegas.

What's your guys opinion on editing softwares?
Adobe Premiere Pro

I use the Adobe CC suite. Premiere and After Effects take a while to get your head around and learn the ins and out, but it offers a fully features toolset

Premiere Pro is boss and easy to use. Premiere Rush is a more light weight version that most people can get away with using. Probably worth a try if you're not looking to do anything fancy.

I can't decide between Da Vinci Resolve and Shotcut. Both seem pretty generous for free users.

For the blow, I advise you the adobe suite, (as remounted several times). This allows you to have a unique environment for several modifications for video editing
