VEGAS Pro is my go-to for simple tasks: it's reliable and good enough. When heaver tasks call; I prefer to use my Adobe collection of tools: After Effects, Premiere Pro, or any number of tools that I might need.

I used to use Sony Vegas Pro, but frankly speaking it's not even half as powerful as AE, and I recommend really, it may not be the easiest program, but if you master it, then nothing but editing!
